Chris Charpin
Field Operations Manager
Even the concrete jungle needs a greenskeeper—and for the bulk of his young career, Chris was just that. Following his studies in environmental science at the University at Albany and geographical information systems at Hunter College, Chris sharpened his skillset in horticulture and stewardship at Stuyvesant Cove Park and Governors Island—two of New York’s defining cityscapes.
Overseeing much of LWLA’s fieldwork, from initial site surveys to installation and management, Chris keeps his boots planted firmly in the ground. His wealth of experience offers a certain fluency in the day-to-day of landscape architecture, drawing from a background that requires strategic, instinctive thinking and a willingness to listen to the land.
