Marissa likes making beautiful things. Full stop. It’s why she teaches garden making for the Pratt Institute’s Master of Landscape Architecture program. It’s why she calls her own backyard “the plant lab.” And it’s why she still finds the time to consult on projects with us.
A graduate of Harvard’s Landscape Architecture program and Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Marissa came to LWLA with an eye for our meadow work, creating conceptual designs and translating them to digital drawings. A registered landscape architect with dozens of projects under the belt, her creativity pierces through her professional life and into her free time, much of which she spends playing musical instruments, working with textiles and—unsurprisingly—experimenting with plant life.
