For as long as he can remember, Ed’s passion rested with the elder trees. The ancient roots that weathered it all. And in a way, Ed’s own trail—beginning with an Environmental Science degree from Paul Smith’s college and evolving over years as a wildland firefighter, organic farmer, arborist and large-scale project manager—follows suit: Standing at the center of the landscape, overlooking every moving piece. A guiding force that eventually spread to the meadows just beyond.

Joining LWLA after a career across New England, crowning the meadow division of a regenerative land care company and managing acres of open habitat, Ed brings a versatile, patient philosophy to native landscapes. Shepherding in new projects and ensuring the satisfaction of current clients, his careful approach leans on every bullet on his resume, along with a few of his off-the-clock interests: mountain biking, meditating and entertaining his dozens of nieces and nephews.
