MaryKatherine’s story is nature’s story—winding, mountainous, and filled with moments of awe. Her younger years were filled with mini-adventures traipsing through rivers and streams, finding secret hideouts, and long walks in the woods. She found positions that focused on environmental and experiential education, team building and gardening. Upon completion of her degree focusing on environmental science her meandering path fell into place.
Most recently employed as the head land steward at a 22-acre private estate, MaryKatherine’s desire to connect people with nature and to restore the land to support all creatures was solidified. Her passion relies on a skillset to tune into the same frequency as the living world, whether it’s spotting non-desirable species at first glance, adapting strategies for meadow management, or simply observing the subtle shifts in the surrounding environment.
Continuing her mini-adventures in the Mid-Hudson area and learning the ecology of the region, MaryKatherine is loyal to nature as they come.
